
Gavriil Skorodumov
Gavriil Ivanovich Skorodumov (Russian: Гавриил Иванович Скородумов; 12 March 1755 – 12 July 1792) was a Russian Empire engraver, draftsman, and painter, best known for his stipple prints. The most notable printmaker from the Catherinian era, Skorodumov had an active career that spanned three decades, and was regarded as the first Russian-born artist to gain international acclaim.
